Richard Wilson and
Peggy Webber had talked for years
regarding the
concept of bringing radio drama back on the air. Although she
wrote the new radio version of the story, cast the show and played
Jim (the boy in the piece), she asked Dick Wilson to direct. Richard
had suggested Treasure Island, because it was the first show Orson
Welles performed on the air - back in the days when he was an unknown.
